About Trevor Key

Trevor Key was well known in the design community for his ability to photograph metal objects, and created work for many album covers. He is most associated with Peter Saville and Factory Records.
Key photographed and designed covers for a variety of artists and bands, including Mike Oldfield (the famous bell*), Joy Division, the Sex Pistols, Phil Collins, Roxy Music, Wham!, Can, China Crisis, System 7, OMD, and several for New Order.
Trevor Key was born in 1948 and died in 1995.
